In this section you can find answers to the most common questions.
Sometimes it fails to connect to the scanner. This then has to do with the location settings on the phone. It is necessary to have location features turned on.
You can turn it on like this:
Turn your phone’s location accuracy on or off
- Swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Touch and hold Location . If you don’t find Location : Tap Edit or Settings . Drag Location into your Quick Settings.
- Tap Location Services. Google Location Accuracy.
- Turn Improve Location Accuracy on or off.
Now that the location settings are on, the scanner should work.
If you are unable to log in to the app and to the safe, ask your administrator whether your account has been created and whether you have sufficient rights to log in to the safe.
If you are an administrator yourself, the password link may no longer be valid. Request a new password link from support.
If you have forgotten your password, you can always reset your password. Under the login screen in the safe it says: Forgotten password. If you click on this, you will be helped further.
If you are not online, the app will not sync the fingerprints to the safe. Make sure you have a 4G connection or are connected to a WiFi network. If you would like to know more about connections, please refer to the instruction manual.
The app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store or Google play store. Press ‘fp safe’ in the search screen and the app will be shown which you can then download.
This is a measure to ensure that the system remains secure. After a certain point you will be automatically logged out if you do not use the app or the vault for a while.
The purpose of the FP-Safe is to have jewellery made with the high-quality digital fingerprint on behalf of the owner.
This can be used by the funeral director as a shop link to configure the jewelry with a fingerprint or engraving. It can also be sent as an email to the next of kin. This allows the funeral director, the next of kin, or together to configure the decorative element.
The quality of the printout is determined by how the finger is placed on the scanner. If this is too heavy, the fingerprint will become too dark and if it is touched too lightly, it will light up. The example below provides more clarity.
